Three weeks later……

The Doctor waited silently for the others as the assembled army marched below, taking the castle of the Sky Army, which had been found a few days prior. He tapped his fingers in a four beat motion on the banister, strangely in tune with the beat of his hearts. After he realized what he was doing, he quickly stopped.

“Doctor?” Sky called as he stepped into the moonlight “The army is thirty percent found. What do we do now? We went through Baskerville completely and didn’t find the detective you were talking about.”

“Well, of course he isn’t gonna be in plain sight. Try to search more. What about the man named John?” the Doctor responded.

“We found him of course, Jason’s bringing him in. John said Sherlock was dead.”

The Doctor turned his head to the door, just as Jason and John walked in. Jason nodded in the direction of the Time Lord but John didn’t know how to respond. The old army doctor was staring around at the sights to behold his eyes past the banister and into the valley that held a part of Trenzalore.

“John, I’m the Doctor. I know your friend, Sherlock.” said the Time Lord, walking towards John.

“You mean ‘knew’. He died.” corrected John, looking to the floor.

“No, I meant what I said. You friend only faked his death. I saw him only a week ago. He’s in perfect health.” said the Doctor, a smile playing on his face.

John’s eyes widened but then narrowed in anger as his fist connected with the Doctor’s jaw, sending the Time Lord sprawling. The Doctor tried to sit up but before anyone could help the Time Lord, John already had a gun two inches from the Doctor.

“Don’t play with me.” the Army doctor snarled coldly “Sherlock is dead and he’s not coming back.”

“But please you have to listen! Sherlock’s-” he was cut off as John clicked a bullet in place.

John was about to fire until the gun was knocked from his hand and in a flash of movement he was pinned to the ground by his chest with the tip of a sword placed at his throat. At the hilt was a girl with dragon wings closed at her shoulders.

John's eyes flew open as the hybrid kept the sword at his neck. The Army Doctor blinked in complete surprise as the girl hissed “Now my dear Watson...I wouldn’t try it. I’m not in the mood to get my claws dirty.”

John nodded, a look of fear in his eyes as the girl slammed her sword back into it’s sheath that hung at her hip. She had her eyes narrowed as she turned to face the Doctor. His eyes widened at the wings and the fact they weren’t fake.

“Okay.” John said completely in shock at the girl’s wings “Have I been drugged again?”

“You really never got over Baskerville did you?” came a deeper voice from the shadows. John stiffened at the voice but the Doctor only beamed in response.

“Sherlock?” John whispered in a small voice as he saw his friend step from the shadows. John seemed betrayed and this time Sherlock caught his punch before it could connect with his face.

“You really need to control your anger.” Sherlock sighed.

John’s face twisted into a snarl while Star behind them was just beginning to add up bets “You fell off of a building! And now you let me believe you’ve been dead!”

“I had-”

“Shut up!” John growled coldly, for the first time in awhile Sherlock seemed generally hurt  “You have no excuses.”

“Can I interrupt your moment?” The Doctor said as he stepped between the two “Sherlock had good reason to jump off a building but at least he’s alive...right?”

Sherlock released John’s hand and flashed a guilty smile at the Army doctor. John growled and refused to meet Sherlock’s blue gaze. The consulting detective seemed hurt but he did his best to hide it.

“What happens now?” Sky asked, he kept a sideways look at John to make sure he didn’t shoot anyone “I mean we have an army ready but who are we all fighting?”

“Star,” the Doctor sighed “can you fill them in?”

The dragon hybrid smiled, showing her fangs causing John to gape “Your greatest nightmares. The things that went to hell but were sent back. I hope you’re not afraid of the dark.”

Sherlock raised an eyebrow as if he was going to give a snide remark but the Doctor’s imitation of slitting his own throat said it wasn’t a good idea to try. At this, Sherlock quickly closed his mouth. Star smirked as she turned towards the Doctor as he began to speak,

“Okay, I’ve never really had an army rallied before but you are aware the things that you fear are going to try to kill me? Are you sure you want to fight?”

Everyone nodded, they really had no idea what they were getting themselves into.

After everyone had nodded, Sky, yet again, thought he saw Dawn. She was standing near the consoles, shaking her head slowly. He tried to walk, but he couldn’t. Images of weeping angels flashed through his mind and he could have swore he heard a four beat knock but he wasn’t sure. Right after the images and the four beat knock, he gasped for air, and as he did, he said “Ten” for no reason.

The Doctor’s eyes widened as he took a step back from Sky, he had good reason to. Sky snapped out of it after a few moments but when he did all he saw was that everyone’s gaze was on him, one in horror and the rest in confusion.

The Doctor opened his mouth to say something but just as he did, Clara Oswin Oswald stepped in. She nodded at the Doctor,

“Did you call two agents named ‘Pond’?” she asked, confusion stirring in her eyes.

Star literally gasped as she realized who the impossible girl was talking about. The dragon hybrid turned her head to see the Doctor’s reaction. All he was doing was smiling and starting to look almost like a fangirl. The TARDIS door creaked loudly as two people walked in, one had hair the brightest of ginger the other had dirty blonde hair. Before anyone could stop the Doctor he ran from his perch and hugged both of the two, but each one of them had a look of confusion on their faces.

“Amy.” the Doctor whispered, tears of happiness threatening to spill down his cheeks “Rory, I can’t believe you’re here.”

“Who are you and how do you know us?” Amy asked, a look of confusion taking over her features.

The Doctor’s eyes widened in horror as he stepped back, Rory had the same look but the Doctor just simply said, he was almost choking on the words “You don’t remember me? I’m the Doctor...your raggedy Doctor!”

Rory shook his head, his features never changing from the state of confusion that seemed to be chiseled onto his face “I’m sorry man, can’t say I do.”

The Doctor’s smile washed away only to replaced by the sadness he had when he had to time lock his own planet. The last Time Lord shook the sadness away as an idea blossomed in his head.

“Sad you don’t,” he said “You’re the greatest fighters we have. Third in command during a fight, when it comes to medical aid, second. Good day to you commanders.”

As the Ponds left the Doctor’s face dropped as a single tear trickled down his face. Sky went to ask him if he was okay but Star hissed as the leader of the Sky Army after hitting him in the face with her wing.

Sky looked back to the consoles, to see Dawn again, but different. This time she had a smirk. A very evil smirk. The images replayed, but with more. Eleven men. Two of which were in the very room. He assumed they were all the past Doctors.
“...Nine…” he began to whisper as a man with a buzz cut hairstyle flashed before his eyes. He opened his mouth to say ‘Eight’ but the Doctor hit a switch on the console and the entire TARDIS was consumed in darkness...
